Day 37 The right arm of preparation

Day 37

The right arm of preparation

In our reading today we found some good things. The first is that we invited the Holy Spirit into our lives again. Because we asked we received. There were probably no bells and whistles – but the assurance that by faith we had received.

Then we noted that the health message is to be a healthy message. It is to be healthy in that it is a healthy holistic message to share. We are not to cling on to the message and keep it for our own healing.

We are to take our message and make it so palatable that others get to share it. That means we need to do two things. The first is to make the healing sweet to taste, we don’t want to share nasty, bitter medicine.

The second thing is that the right arm of the message is a healing activity, not one to be taught and left in the brains of those who need healing. We should be alongside sick people and giving healing, not talking about healing. Jesus healed .. then He talked about how the healing happened.

My Gran was very sick. I could have told her about health. That would make no difference to her. I set out, by God’s grace, to heal her. She was healed in that she found pain relief, she found a relationship with Jesus – and then she died.

Our talks at the evening meetings are good enough to share – so bring a friend along tonight.

Please, take what you are learning, mingle with someone, get close to someone and provide some healing.

We meet again tonight at
