My Whole Life

I was born to reflect the image of a God who is powerful enough to create my universe, attentive enough to hear my prayers and loving enough to be defined by self-sacrifice. I find my greatest fulfillment on a journey toward purpose and wholeness.

Our Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventist beliefs are meant to permeate your whole life. Growing out of scriptures that paint a compelling portrait of God, you are invited to explore, experience and know the One who desires to make us whole.

John proclaimed the coming of the Messiah, and called the people to repentance. As a symbol of cleansing from sin, he baptized them in the waters of the Jordan. Thus by a significant object lesson he declared that those who claimed to be the chosen people of God were defiled by sin, and that without purification of heart and life they could have no part in the Messiah's kingdom.

Princes and rabbis, soldiers, publicans, and peasants came to hear the prophet. For a time the solemn warning from God alarmed them. Many were brought to repentance, and received baptism. Persons of all ranks submitted to the requirement of the Baptist, in order to participate in the kingdom he announced.

People haven’t changed much over the years. Unless evolutionary theory has gone rampant people still have legs in the same places, arms at the same location and a conscience.

That means that your next door neighbour might be open to a warning offered in love. After all, people still want something better, and we do live in a world which is a little less than perfect. How about offering your neighbour a glimpse of something better?

You know the tactics. Pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to enter your life and then think through what God wants you to say. Then talk.

I made the choice of song today, and looked for a George Jones song again. I liked what I heard yesterday. The song I chose was, ‘The Unclouded day’  Please click on the picture to listen to the song.
